Introduction:

Sister Raffaella Petrini – President of the Governorate of Vatican City State

Keynote speakers:
Ronald Cohen – Chairman, Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG)
Marco Elio Rottigni – General Manager, Italian Banking Association (ABI)

The round table brought together academics, bankers, entrepreneurs, and representatives of institutions to discuss how to put people, the dignity of work, and the common good back at the center of economic processes and financial investments. Starting with the challenges posed by the digital transition, the climate emergency, and growing inequalities, participants explored generative business models, impact finance tools, and advanced ESG criteria, while also assessing the role of new technologies in aligning profitability and social responsibility. The goal was to define operational guidelines and shared indicators that would allow for the measurement, in a comparable and transparent way, of how fraternity translates into economic choices capable of promoting inclusion, environmental sustainability, and the integral development of communities.
