Eight points to “form” a new world. The Political Formation Table, coordinated by Community of Connections, consists of the different souls of Catholic associations that have accompanied Community of Connections since its origin in 2009.

It, in fact, was created with the aim of creating virtuous connections between these souls, to refound in a space open to differences the value of service and the common good, and thus ultimately to define a political and nonpartisan posture.

Our Table has met on several occasions in recent months and has chosen to decline what we believe to be the meaning of the word alliance in a world torn apart by divisions and conflicts.

For us, “alliance” means at least 8 things:

– Synthesis of diversity on the way.
– Conflict generating understanding through a climax: against the other, with the other, for the other.
– Shared truth in the sense of authentic dialogue.
– Dignity as the foundation of common action.
– Accountability as a prerequisite for any serious form of cooperation.
– Participation in the life of the city, understood as a community.
– Intergenerationality, understood as an alliance between young and old.
– Geopolitics and peace as prerequisites for global cooperation.
